For almost 20 years, Fidelity’s Tax and Retirement team has done an annual survey of around 2,000 Canadians aged 45+ to understand the latest trends in the shifting retirement landscape. This year’s presentation highlights the results of the survey, and shares the perceptions of Canadians as they face challenges while they plan for and live in retirement amidst another year of persistent inflation, a higher cost of living and higher interest rates. Our survey results reaffirm how critical it is to remain disciplined in investing, the importance of a written financial plan and the role of advisors in helping their clients feel secure about their retirements.
Assuris is the not-for-profit organization that protects Canadian policyholders if their life and health insurance company fails. This session will focus on how Assuris protects policyholders, should a member life and health insurance company fail. It also explores different “real-life” scenarios on how Assuris’ protection is applied and will provide you the tools to be better informed and to advise your clients that is the unexpected happens, they are protected.
